BMW is using new power steering assist so the newer steering doesn't respond as good as the older model. It's just a mere feeling ... after you sit in the car and drive it for a good amount of time, you will get used to it. Just like the appearance of the new F10, you will need time to get used to the look.
it like driving a MB car not much road feel on the wheel.
unless they make it better, I will stick to my e60 for a long time.

The power assist steering definitely ruins the famous BMW handling
You dont get any feedback from the steering wheel when turn into the corner through the fast bends,
you only know it understeers when it "understeered", so you cant feel and know the limits of the grip in the front tyres.
Its perfect to drive for day to day use!!
but no good for high demanding person like me

I think the 5ers always aim for the more comfortable segment so everything are softer compared to the models in the other ranges. but is kind of a bit strange when the 7er drives better than the 5er and at least in this part of the world, people buy a 7er probably are rich enough to hire a driver.

you should compare to Audi, the clientele are similar
but i think that BMW are much much better than Audi,
all audi A3,A4,A5,A5 fastback have the same interior/dash.
BMW 1,3 and 5 are totally different, and with that it costs more
money to make several interiors.
MB is for old men like me!!
