without biased cos i'm a dummy on cameras;
Nikon and Canon are more or less the same quality, but Nikon only makes
cameras and lenses, canon makes other stuff like copiers etc,.
in most ming school photography clubs they prefer Nikon over Canon, but
according to my son who uses a Nikon D700+grip+2.8+Nikkor lenses, they are rated the same.
I think they share lenses, so most probably Nikon is more prolific(popular)-more lenses around.
Though he has a classmate who swears by Canon and has the works eg.100k+lenses etc,.
My son says Canon lenses are more noticeable to clients who have a glimpse at your gear before they
hire you for a photoshoot and complains that Nikon lenses are not as flashy.
(he has been asked to photo Joseph Yam Chi Kong, Tung Kin Hua, Ma Siu Hang etc,. for his clubs)
I was with a Chinese supplier who brought down with assistants a D3X with all the gear to get a night shot of the skyline, most Chinese prefer the Nikon, poseurs prefer the Leica/ Hasselblad.
I have seen many "girl cheaters" guys with Canon with "red ring" and all the gear taking photos, esp sneaky shots of cleavage etc,.
no need to argue anyway, with the shots you are taking you won't even challenge a D90!!!
stick to modding your cars boys!!

Keith is the expert, he uses EBC or?
BMW pads are crap, too much grey dust!!!!!! even with mild use
my first set of alloys spyder122s were f up and eaten up by the brake dust,
it was a nightmare to keep clean, if u left the wheels for a week uncleaned there were
unremovable black spots!!!
so much so that i chose titanium grey/grey alloys now and only 5 spoke for ease of
washing and cleaning.

Your breytons you had were a bitch to keep clean cos the brake dust has permanently stained the chrome lip!!!!
But using the 3rd party pads, does it affect the longevity of the brake discs?? Id rather replace the pads and have them more dusty than having to replace the more expensive discs... esp my M5 ones!
