Max motorsport are selling Hartge stuff. But I don't know how much is it... ...

Hi Everyone,

After 5 years working in UK.

Company finally decided to transfer me back to Hong Kong at the end of this year.

Wondering if it is worth shipping my be love car back to HK .

Its going to be 3 yrs old by the time i return.

Anyone have any idea about import duty ?

Why not just get a new one here? Shipping cars are a hassel and unless your car is that important or special to you or your company is paying for the shipment as a part of the reallocation expenses.

Agree with AC_S5. Too much trouble to ship it back to HK and I am sure BMWHK won't houour any warranty work or recall with your car. They will consider it as a grey import (water goods), and it will be difficult to sell it when you want to get rid of it.

My Ride: MY2005 E60 545iA (Delivered 10th September 2005), Silver Grey, Black Dakota, Maple wood Sycamore Anthracite. Mods done: M-Kit, ACS racing type IV 9.0JX20" and 10.0JX20" on Michelin PS2 front 255/30/20 and rear 295/25/20. Mods to come: ACS suspension set, ACS trunk spoiler, ACS roof spoiler, ACS alu foot pedals, ACS exhaust, M5 trunk finisher, M5 Mirror or ACS Mirror.

If I am not mistaking... you'd have to pay first registration tax on the car. If that is true, it's totally not worth it to ship it back.

This past weekend, I saw another silver 530 with quad exhaust, just like gf366's (but with different wheels and license number). Belong to anyone here? hehe.... Still only just 4 people sign up for the end of Apr meeting, anyone else interested?? there's got to be more...hehe.
