Hi guys,
Just had a weird thought and work out the numbers with my salesman few days ago.
The 525i has a price drop of $17000 from the 05 MSRP. It is now $548,000.
To extend the warranty for the 523i, it cost $9800. Licensing fee - $5994. Insurance below $10k.
And if....yeah....just a big IF..... I opt to go for a 525i, here is the breakdown of the numbers.
523i trade-in $400,000
The so call "VIP Discount" $8000
You will end up paying around $50k for a down payment and $9k for monthly payment for the next 60 months.
Just suddenly have this wierd thought flashed through my head.
No, I am not going to do it.
Guys, what is the discount you should ask for if you are really buying the 3rd one from the same salesman? I heard they do have those loyalty discount, but $8000 is way too little. I was already nuked from the last promotional discount for the 523i....

I think loyalty discount is 2%? but 2% of what I dont know. It could be just 2% of car cost before tax. Then that could be less than $8K....hehe.
