Btw, last week I filled up for the very first time with V-Power gas (b4 has always been the cheapy reg. unleaded gas).? Altho I can't really tell the difference in "performance", the tank seems to last longer than reg unleaded.....maybe just my wishful thinking and imagination

You know the higher grade gas does gives the car more of a bang. Is good for your engine too. Some people may not agree but my last E39 was still kicking after 6 years of punishment handed out by me

But another interesting thing about the fuel consumption is that it has gone down after I changed my rims. My driving style is not different and I didn't go on more highways. Hope is not my wishful think.

Yeah although you get tax breaks but you contribute more elsewhere ie. the house, the kids or things that your wife found useful and those that are not useful ie. toys for your car or yourself, its funding will go towards stuff like LV's, Gucci, Prada etc... which I don't find it more useful than my toys. At least I would only have one cellphone or max two compare to 10 purse at any given time.

Yeah OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer

I always think that they should be called OE rims but everyone else calls it OEM

The fuel argument question again...

Here is a quote from the CHOICE # 285 (17 July 2000)
Link to the article

At present, oil companies supply only unleaded petrol of 98 octane rating of different formulations. This decision of the oil companies means that consumers are deprived of their opportunity to choose lower priced and lower octane rating fuel.

The survey has highlighted the concern that the majority of Hong Kong motorists are paying extra for a petrol which, under normal driving conditions and contrary to common perception, does not enhancethe performance of their cars. So it's costing these consumers more for literally nothing.

Whether V-Power will give you more power its still highly debatable according to the article.

No, mine is still in the bag inside the trunk. So busy these days, I don't have time to install it. I will try to do it after work tomorrow.

Hi Shield & Sliu_uu,

I actually visited Auckland about a month ago and stayed in the Takapuna area. It's a nice country.

Hi fun2drive,

So we attended the same school. But I was there long time ago (when they first built the Vari Hall). Welcome abroad!

Yeah~~ A nice place to live.

Shield
