Older cars with low mileage have always been good to me. Generally I sell my older BMWs only because things like the seats might not be as comfortable or there is a must have safety feature. I also love keeping an older vehicle in spotless conditon. They become the rare, and I think cool, item on the motorways.

I don't think he has two specific cars in mind ... it's a general poll to say which you would prefer. If you were in the market for a 2nd hand car, would you start by searching for an older car with low mileage, or a new car with higher mileage? Maybe there should be a third option added to the poll which states something like "age/mileage is less important than history". Personally I voted for the "newer car, higher mileage", as I would prefer to get something still in warranty. This is especially true if it would mean getting a facelift model.

hmmm this got me thinking. the thing with a higher mileage but newer car, hopefully then the mileage isnt higher than what the warranty covers. with either you could probably buy an extended warranty. its really up to you which you would go for. like some others, drive them and look at the history of each, service reports, etc. good luck. and also, welcome and enjoy the forums.

I like newer cars with higher mileage ! That oftens means that they're used on longer trips on bigger raods like the autobahn for example...
An older car with not so much km's or miles on the clock means that they're prob. used for short trips, so the engine can't fully heat.
