If you are still under warranty you should be able to get the battery replaced for free. Most have in this case. If you are not and or the detect the add amp etc, the cost to replace your battery at the dealer is about 650.00. My guess it would be the same as they quoted me on my 08 535. If you have to replace it at your cost go to Autozone they have a seven year warranty battery and they will install it for you. Five years 100% replaced and the last two are prorated. The dealer battery is only covered for two years and would like kill your wallet, go figure... I left my trunk open, nothing else on recently for a couple hours. When I got in the car the clock was at - - - - and I had the battery drain message only in the cluster area which turned off when I started the car. I've never had it in the iDrive screen.

What I heard the warranty not cover for the battery. The way BMW design the electronic so sensitive, Just a bit hick-up, iDrive popup the message warning that really annoying me.
If you get new battery from autozone to install, then do you have to take the car to dealer for initiallized the new battery was installed?

My original warranty will be ended by Nov. this year. Hopefully the battery die before warranty ended so I can have them replace new one for free LOL
