Well that's an old post.... But the fact is the "hesitation" problem is still present on my 520d, and I'm planning a "back to the dealer" tour in close future.
Just to know: do any of you who previously mentioned this issue got everything fixed ?

I've an 06 520d. Been having lots of hesitation problems, as well as rough idling and taking 5-10seconds to start. BMW found a fault with something, it's going in next week to get sorted. He did mention the EGR valve so it'll be interesting to see what gets done.
