When I had mine replaced (under warranty) I was also quoted six weeks. The replacement arrived in less than a week! The $tealership wanted me to book my car in for a day to replace it (a round trip of 70 miles for me). After much discussion, I got them to give me the new sensor and I replaced it in about 15 seconds on the forecourt.

Thanks for the info Mike. Went to local bodyshop, he reckons the bumper couldn't be successfully repaired and that a good 2nd hand one would be the best option. I missed one on ebay that had all PDC sensors, foglights, grill etc, for just ?250, cos I could have punted on the stuff I didn't need, or even kept if for the next time the missus hits the car LOL
