Default Help Jacking rear and getting car onto axle stands please.

Hi. I have a 2006 e60 525i and have damaged my rear alloy by driving on a flat tyre.

The car was supposed to come with runflats but all are normal ones now.

I need to get the car onto an axle stand so that I can leave the car a few days on the road safely while the alloy is refurbished.

The problem is how to get the rear on the stand. I've read a lot of posts about jacking on the rear diff and then lowering onto the rear jacking point on the sill.

I can't see where I can jack on the rear diff or where the rear diff is.

Is it possible to have axle stand on where the wheel is?

I'll put some pictures here where hopefully you can help to locate where to jack under rear of the car.

Many thanks in advance.

Put the jack in between the 2 bolts. The center of the jack on that thick piece of metal. That's where you're supposed to jack it up at

Just to be more clear...you don't want the jack on the rear differential cover. Put a block of wood on a jack and position it under the rusty part of the rear diff in the photo. That is an BMW service manual approved jacking location.
