I believe someone said, on another thread, that MB cars do tell you what tire it is. Can someone confirm that?

Totally different technology...
According to USAToday, today, the Federal Highway Safety Administration has just mandataed that all vehicles in the USA inform the drivers if one or more of their tires are low on pressure. This is as of 2008. They report it will cost about $60 per vehicle for the makers and will save 120 lives per year. My first thought, in Archie Bunker mode, was that these would be 120 idiots, too stupid to know how to use a tire pressure guage. Our government here never fails to protect us from ourselves!

My RFT monitor does on a few times also indicate a flat tyre. So I went of to the gas stations and went in for a tyre presure check. The attendant said everything was ok. So I decided to reset the tyre presure... it took almost 45 minutes for the computer to complete the set presure check. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to set their tyre pressure?
