it's not that it seems hard to do, just a sensitive procedure. you get any wire wired improperly and you could cause major damage...get any wire installed loosely and hit a bump and you could shut your car off in the middle of a drive. i will swap out a cam any day over cutting wires that go to the ECU, but for the money this seems like a decent addition...

Based on an email I got from a Burger tech, he said that you may get a check engine soon light if you install the device with the battery plugged in. However, the light should clear itself eventually. I installed mine with the battery unplugged. Seems safer that way anyway. Also I didn't get the check engine light.

I got some time this morning and I went ahead and re-installed it. My car feels good again. It isn't that hard to install and yes you do have to be careful. Make sure you work with one wire at a time and don't rush it. This morning it took me about 1.5 to 2 hours which includes disconnecting the battery and taking out stuff out of the way to get to the ECU compartment as well as putting everything back together. The first time I installed it, it took much longer. When you do it, don't schedule anything the rest of the day so you don't feel rushed. Good Luck!

You press and release the gas 3 times, not the brake pedal.
