My Ride: 2005 530i Mystic Blue Metallic, Black Dakota Leather
sometimes upon startup of my vehicle i hear a weird sound kinda like KRRR! for a second exactly at startup.
it doesnt sound too good, but its only for second and its only sometimes, (maybe temperature related???)
any ideas on what it could be?...

My Ride: 2008 535i 6MT
Probably the VANOS. My E90 made some strange noises on startup occasionally and eventually my camshaft sensor failed. I think the sensor was flakey for some time.

can this VANOS variable cause a slight hesitation in between drive gears?
ex.) when the accelerator is released and the rpms reach in between 1 and 2 they kinda flutter up and down while i feel a slight hesitation??? weird
i'm having that problem as well, thought it may be linked to that sensor?
