Hey guys, a few days ago i floored the car off light and as the engine icon popped up for a split second. When i parked the car, i smelled something burning. I restarted the car and the smell went away. Ever since that day I have noticed that I have had trouble holding a constant speed, as in unless i put pressure on the gas pedal, the car tends to slow down. The accelration on the car is still great and functioning normally. I don't know whether I am imagining things or is something really wrong with my car. For reference, I have an 09' 535i. Thank you guys for any and all input.

 

Take it to the dealer and make them ride along with you. They will have record of the engine light alert in the alert log for your car (hopefully).

Main point being let your warranty and its intended effort put your mind at ease though good diagnosis.
