My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
G/L to all. I hope you get this problem resolved.

I'm a little late to this thread but I'll simply add...
Yes, groaning is usually pump-related, not belt related.
Get that extra oil out of there.
Get your ass over to Rahal where they can actually fix a car.
(They're supposed to move into their new "palace" in December...)

i had this problem, they lubricated the steering column and its fixed. hasnt come back ... been about 3 months now
