Hey all.....When I was turning my car into a parking spot yesterday on 2 occasions, I heard this loud groaning noise coming from the front-end. I had the wheel turned as far as it would go.

I know this is typically a belt issue, but this didn't sound like the typical, annoying, high-pitched SCREECHING noise we've all heard on old cars when they do the same. The best way I can describe the noise is that is sounded like a school bus' or large truck's AIR-brake, that deeper groan....like when the bus stops in front of our houses to let the kids off.

Any ideas or similar issues? I have less than 2500 miles on the car, and I'm taking it in tomorrow for other maintenance and a rattling and squeaking rear parcel shelf.

Hahahaha! This is your way of saying, "Time to upgrade again". LOL! So predictable.

Every BMW does it somewhen and BMW is not able to find the problem.

I had it in about one dozen times and they replaced almost everything.
I had to make a video of it, since BMW claims it's not there or not reproducable.

fu****g id**ts...

I was looking through the TIS database under noises - i only have this option; grating/creaking noise or droning/buzzing. they both lead to clutch/ steering fluids and bearings, i'm trying to look at axel/joints but its not showing up anything( i'm not a pro-just starting to learn how to use the software). is it a M/T? is the a/c on when you noticed it?

I haven't even noticed it in the past few weeks to be honest, I don't even recall when it last happened. I had it when I first got the car 2 months ago, either I have gotten used to it or it is gone. I would check it for you but the car is in the shop right now cause I am getting a new Tranny. I do recall that it only happens in the very last degree of every turn. When you turn it all the way to the left, and then turn to the right about 10 or 20 degrees it is gone right? Same for right side.

Yep.

Just on full turns on the very end and on very low speeds.
