Im doing the gray interior with anthracite wood. Its real wood btw. I am also doing the anthracite headliner with this. I am having the Aero kit installed at the VPC where my car is now, unless its on a truck headed for my dealer. The gray interior is actually a blue shade of gray.
Sound like your car is on its way to a new home.... Please post pictures (esp. the headliner) when your love comes in...

Does anybody know if Aluminum Cube Trim can be ordered in the U.S?
If yes, at what cost?

Also, is Anthracite Maple real wood??? It looks like greay plastic with verticle lines.

Not sure about the cube trim but i don't think you can order it in the US, although you should be able to do it as an after market solution.

The maple is very real, sliced from timber logs, then the supplier colors it (by infusing pigment from ther back of the veneer) and wraps it in plastic (PUR) for protection and gloss.

OK; tegel seems to have inside information on the wood question. My info was based on the fact, that modern cars don?t have real wood, because in case of an accident it could splinter and harm the passengers or get in the way of the passenger airbag, but maybe it?s only a very thin foil, so this wouldn?t be a problem.
Anyway like I said in my first posting, at least the anthracite trim pretty much LOOKS like plastic due to the parallel graining and the not wood-like color.

Well, modern cars don't have wood due to cost. Funny thing is that even if you (and me) think that the "BMW wood" looks a bit artificial, like plastic, take a look in a cheap car and see the difference between real veneer and painted (actually printed) wood.

The difference is quite dramatic.

Also, to drive around in a wood-look-alike vehicle must feel a bit terrible, don't you think*?

BMW settles for the real thing but they (and we) have to pay for it.
