Impressed that the dealer (JMK BMW) where I had gone for a complimentary inspection a few weeks back gave me heads-up and asked me to schedule an appointment whenever I wanted to.
Ditto for another NJ dealer (Bloomington), who actually emailed me in April itself asking me to schedule an appointment.
Quite impressed with both.

Ohh god! I love this forum. If I had not seen this thread, I would have missed this recall for good. Actually I just bought the car 3 weeks ago, and I am yet to receive the DMV registration. So Even if they had sent a letter, it would have gone to my old owner. Just called Irvine BMW, updated my address there and scheduled this freebie for Tuesday. I just love freebies :b

be careful i also ask for the passenger mat seat recall( when the stealer run my vin# they say my car do not qualify,and then i call BMW NA.and they say that it does)..and then my dealer told me -"""we will run a diagnostic..for the passenger airbag mulfunction and if the issue is not the mat""..i have to pay for diagnostic..$130

Does anyone have a pic of the part that was replaced by the recall? I took my car in last week, this weekend I looked in the battery area and everything looks the same????
What's worst is that yesterday while driving, the SOS symbol with the line across came on, I've never had this happened before. I used the SOS button and it called out just fine.
