Bently are part of the VW group, are they rubbish because they are VW group? No. Audi owns Lamborghini, are they rubbish too? VW group make good cars, including Seat and Skoda. We are all lucky to drive a car as nice as a BMW, the same as if we were driving a Audi or any VW car. I wish people would respect someone else's decision. Good luck with your car, made a good choice!

Enjoy your new drive - some of the BMW german forums write that the audi interiour lighting is like a disco because of the different colours of the lights.

here in europe, particularly austria and germany, audis have a very good reputation - of course they get sold in the same building the the VWs, Seats and Skodas but then again, most of the parts of all our cars whether fiat or BMW come from the same suppliers - all the diesel electronics belong to bosch, the door openers come from the same supplier whether chrome plated or aluminium etc... so whether skoda or not skoda, audi is up there with the bmws and mercs though our preference here on the forum is obvious...

I researched in depth about Audi S4 and A6 before I decided on E60. I prefer Audi's interior much better than BMW. iDrive to me is a cost cutting technology (less buttons, control mechnism, integrated components..etc) that being sold as advance technology. Can you imaging there is only one joystick and one button to push on the Enterprise? How boring would that be?

Are you considering S6?

If you can't "connect" with the car as you put it, you're never going to be happy, regardless what anyone else says and how the car drives. I considered the car you're going for, but did not even look at a Benz simply because the whole "brand image" is wrong for me in my mind and I know that would just bug me. Funny how this whole identifying yourself with a car/marque influences people so much - but that's why the various manufacturers pump so much money into advertising - appears to be working...

A6 2.7 TDI s-line is a great car and I'm sure you'll be very happy with your choice. Enjoy...

whats your connection with Liverpool
Although I grew up (mainly) in Kent and Sussex I was born in Broad Green Hospital to Liverpudlian parents. Been a lifelong Liverpool supporter of course and luckily we get just about as much premiership coverage out here as we got when we lived back in the UK so we're able to keep up with what's going on.

A change is as good as a rest, and if the e60 didn't grab you then it is time.

If I hadn't been seduced by the 272bhp diesel, I'd probably have gone with an A6 3.0 tdi estate.

i am trading in my e60 , i am getting a audi a6 sline 2.7 tdi, dont shout at me but my heart wasnt with this car any more, if i could put the inside of an a6 in the 5 series i would be happy. I took an a6 2.7tdi quattro for a good drive, they dont drive quite as nice as the e60 but overall i will be happier, i just never connected with e60.
ps i will stay on this forum if i am not banned as i still have a great interest in great cars

any one know a good a6 forum
Have fun with your VW.
