5 Audis in 3 years?

You must dump them immediately after the new car smell wears off. Why do you keep buying them?
May I also ask how many times you have been married?

Because I love Audis, well I lobe the styling and the interiors, and I kept trying to find one I really enjoyed driving too, but I didn't manage it, so I am back with BMW.

Only married the once, she rides alot better than any Audi!

congrats on your choice. you will find the car to be a pleasure to drive, but nowhere as involving as your previous ride
I agree - the one thing BMW have achieved is a driver focused experience (and I agree Tony that this is not something that you can always make the most of in the UK due to our congested roads).

The key for me is that no matter what Audi do - they are starting with FWD - which is principle is the wrong place to begin when building a driver oriented car.

I did test drive an A6 and I also think they look somewhat swankier than the SE e60 (although perhaps not the m-sport). But it doesn't drive like a BMW and I would miss that.

I'm also dumping my e60 though - but this is more about the auto gearbox being uninvolving and also the niggles of build quality around the car. All of my earlier BMW's felt like they were carved from stone - but my e60 feels like any other car (in quality terms) which was a bit dissapointing for my first 5-series.

However it DRIVES beautifully .

I'm hoping the e90 is a better developed product, if not - I may end up getting something non-bmw (gulp).

Good luck with the A6 - I hope you 'connect' with it better than the e60

Just respect the fellow, if he choose an Audi then let him be. Why you guys want to convince him to do anything else.

Who cares if he changes to an Audi, this forum is for useful information right?

But you are welcome to browse here even though you don't have a bimmer anymore tony, but IMO I wouldn't waste my time reading every car forum in the world.

It used to be the case that if you wanted sytle and comfort over dynamics then you went for an Audi but if you preferred dynamics then outright build quality and clean styling then you went for a BMW. However since BMW chose to fit infernal runflats and the poorly designed I-Drive the gap has lessened. So the BMW is still a bit more driver focussed but the Audi is no longer that far behind. Saying all this I have always found Audis to have some really glaring flaws-mostly windnoise in the older A4 and A6s, suspension bushes etc that seem to wear and feel tired very quickly and very awkward driving positions- I had to sell my A8 (new shape) becasue of the uncomfortable position of the seats due to a very excessively wide trasmission tunnel. BMW always used to be a more rounded product but as stated the gap is really closing.

To bad for you. I have had my 550i since 6/09//2006 and I love it more an more every day I drive it. Sorry if I-drive was to complicated for you. I quess you were never a BMW driver. You should stick with inferior products like Audi made by Volkswagan.
i drive is not complicated at all, its the cheap plastic pot that controlls it that bothers me

Great car choice, but the car is just not visually appealing to me. The lines are quite boring, I keep trying to convince myself to fall in love with it's design but just can't. I've never driven an audi but have been in several of them, interior is quite nice although the myriad of buttons can be daunting. I esp. liked the interior of Q7 and really like the exterior also. One of the few audi i can say that for, I really like the RS4 too though. If this was a discussion about either of those vehicles I would have nothing negative to say. What's that old saying? one man's food is another man's poison yea that one. I know Audi has less niggles than most bimmer right now so I guess that much be a HUGE plus for you right now, enjoy it.

The only audi I would ever get would be the S8.
RS4...rediculously expensive for it's size.
RS6..rediculously powerful, should be better if rear wheel drive.
anything else...no comment.
same here my probs is that what is that...audi??

but if you feel like that be happy w that and come back to the best car's forum!!!
