I just made a comparable purchase of an 2008 550i M-Sport, Navi, 7-logic with 32k miles for $40k. CPO'd. Not sure if you would plan on trying to update the Navi Maps to the 2011 version, but my 08 needed new DVD hardware as it did not recognize Navi Map updates > 2007.

wouldn't recognize nav maps newer than 2007? and its a 2008? So is mine, and I was able to update to the 2009 map disk with no problem. Also strange - what's going on around here? Ghosts in the machine? Halloween time? What is it.

Oh, and IMHO, $40k is too much. The sweet spot for these is in the $34-37k range depending on options i think.

I agree on the 535i comment above. IMO take it to your local BMW dealer and have them check it out, since its still under warranty. Can't lose there.....

I want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me by giving suggestions/advice on finding the right car. I decided to go through it and the car came out clean with no issues. It's now sitting in my garage.

I look forward to being an active member of this forum!
