Dude, I like your next door neighbor. If I have your next door neighbor, I would not feel so bad for the xi.

I've had quite a few spirited runs, however, but I can't wait to really get it past 5000rpm...when the real fun starts!
As for the steptronic, I only miss the smooth shifts. I find myself throwing the M5 in neutral as a result of my old "drive sport" habits, kicking the shifter to the left. It will take time to erase from my brain.
I am currently learning to smooth out my SMG shifts, by finding that sweet spot for letting off the throttle a bit and then hitting it again. The delay between shifts during slower driving is a bit annoying. I try to pretend I am using my left foot during the shifts like during my old manuals days...it helps to have had the prior 5-speed experience for the SMG learning curve.
Fun, Fun, Fun! 530xi? What's that?!
As a side note, the M5Board just isn't as fun as this place. Those guys seem to all business and no play. And the site is sooooooo slow! Typical threads that would get dozens of replies here get 1 or 2 over there.
So, I don't plan on leaving you guys! E60 forums rules!
