I'm still waiting for pics of yours!

Maybe the next pics you take will be of an M5 also?

As for mods, I don't like the way the front end sits up higher than the rear. It will bother you too if you get one....and I know you will want to drop it again. As for me, I had enough bad experiences with that issue.

Oh, one more thing, C....PENGUINS, BABY!

Well, you could always cut the bumper on the 530, add 2 exhaust ports and get some phony M5 emblems and you'll have 2! NOT! Congrats on the M5. Very sharp. Looks like you like silver a lot.

You could say that the 19's sealed the deal. I actually gave them away because I am not sure I would have found a new "lessee" for the xi in 1 whole day, had I not. No biggie...better than losing $9000 on a trade!

Love the M5! When I joined the forum a few months ago, I quickly fell in love with the wheels on your outgoing 530XI.
Upgrading the XI wheels seems to be limited. What wheel / tire vendor do you recommend?

And I gotta agree - GO PENS ( former Pittsburgher)!!

If you want these style rims, go to www.velocitymotoring.com and contact them. Ask for Gideon, the sales manager. He is quite familiar with the correct sizes for the xi model. Go with the staggered setup if you do these rims....8.5" ET40 in front and 9.5" ET45 in rear. 245/35/19 F, 275/30/19 R

Nice upgrade. I just purchased a 2005 530i with 17" stock rims, I am thinking of upgrading them to the M5 rims but I'm not sure if I should go for the 19" or 18". I live in the north east and our roads aren't the best so I'm leaning towards 18", how did those 19" work for you? I've also been reading about having a "staggered" setup, what exactly is that?

Thanks.

Fernando

Hi...the 19's worked fine here in Pittsburgh....never bent a rim, but the ride can be harsh depending on your suspension. If you have OEM sport suspension or even stock suspension, your ride will be better than mine was dropped on H&R's...I blame them for the ride more than the 19's and low-profile tires. If you want the car looking its meanest, go with a staggered 19" setip....wider in rear than front....245/35 in front, 275/30 in rear.

I hope the new guy gets it in one piece.....the truck was a total hunk of junk. The 3 series above mine looked like it was going to fall off. The driver said, "It wasn't like that when I put it up there." I guess it's a Republican (see last pic)!

My old ride sure looks good, though!
