By the end of the week, my xi will be history....lease transfer has gone through and a truck will be picking it up soon. I gave it its last wash and wax today, as a courtesty for the new "owner" and it's looking mighty sharp. It will sit in the garage till it's picked up, so I guess I had driven it for the last time. However, it's not quite as sharp as its next-door neighbor, which I will finally begin driving on a regular basis starting tomorrow.
I didn't think I'd miss it, but now that the time is near, I probably will...especially when my fuel bill and winter arrive! Aside from all of my supposed "problems" with the suspension I had, when you think about it, nothing was really wrong with the car. It took way too long to diagnose my bump-stop issue, and by then I was ready to move on. I never had any a single problem with the engine, transmission or anything.
Bye bye, 530xi. ...hope the new guy takes care of you as well as I did. .....And Hello, M5!

Always hard to see something go you've put so much time and effort into. I only hope the next owner treats it as good as you have. That is a pretty cool pic tho with both e60's in the garage like that.

Wow you left the 19" wheels on it? The next owner is going to be very happy you did that!
