I just bought a black on black 6 spd 545i (05) pre pkg, sport pkg, cold pkg with only 17K miles for $32K with a year left on the factory warranty, clean, one owner carfax. The low mileage really pulled me towards the car. I looked at others with 2-3x the mileage for similar prices (some less) but again, the ~5K/yrs mileage took the cake. Love the car, drives live a dream! My local BMW dealer has an 05 exactly like mine with 35K miles CPO for $36K. I will just buy the ext. warranty through my dealer for $2,500 (3yr, 75k).
Go for it!

I didn't think the 545s had the premium package? There is a premium sound package, but no premium package per se. Check this option sheet:

It's good to know that you have the premium sound, however, as that is the Logic 7. I wish mine had that option...
Oh, and the price sounds great.

Hey guys,
I'm seriously thinking of getting a 2005/2006 545 with around 30,000 miles on it. Honestly... also thinking the 2006 GS430.
Concern with the E60
1) Heard so much problem with the E60 (All Models)... spending too much time at the shop.. repair cost is high...
- Common problem fail clutch?.. door rattling.. computer/electronics part fail...
- I'm a newbie when it comes to bimmers.. lots of E60 owner claimed failing clutch with less than 40K miles? Comeon .. it's a german engineered and it's bimmer... WHY?
2) The new 5-Series is due in couple of years? say mid 2010 for a 2011 model(correct me if i'm wrong)? I think the next major change for the GS is 2012 and might be available in mid 2011.
Any input guys? please help.. will be checking out one GS430 and two 545i this weekend and hoping to lock down one of the deal..
Cheers

The GS450H is a more comparable car to a 545,550. But I know for a fact you wont like the lexus seats, i dont like ours , my 525 is much more comfortable. You wont have cabin fever in the 5 series either. But but but you'll have the BEST NAV, BLUETOOTH, ipod, TOUCH SCREEN GOODIES! If you can live with the seating on a GS430. Toyota's functions with the Mark levinson are second to none. The peppy 300hp V6 is nice, should get 19-24mpg always. Our GS450h is a technological stunner. Oh stay away from lexus black too hard to maintain, well unless you drove it in a bubble LOL

I actually test drove both cars and i found that the 545i was a nicer car all around. The Lexus was nice but it did not have the performance that the 545 has. Plus i like the interior on the 545 better, the Lexus just seems like its cheaper.
