Use http://www.turnermot...el-spacers.aspx to measure it first. Here is a couple post asking the same questions you have.

Which wheels do you have? I have experience with all sizes of spacers on several sets of factory wheels. Let me know and I'll tell you what I have done... For ex. for style 124's and 172's, a nice setup is a 15mm out back. For M166's a 12.5mm works great. For a more aggressive setup with 124's is a 10mm up front and a 20mm rear

Simple answer, yes you should get them. Many of the people on this forum have them, and as long as you get a good set of hub centric spacers, you'll be fine. That said anything thicker than 5mm and you should also buy longer lug nuts. How big to get depends more on personal preference and if you're willing or want to roll your fenders. If you're gonna have a shop put them on anyway, may as well work with them to see what size you like best. Good luck and post pix when ur done

I'd be careful. I was thinking about spacers until I had some passengers in my car and I was gassing up. I noticed that the car sits very low to the wheel. The wheel travels up inside the lip of the fender and rubs when I hit large "dips" in the road (bigger transitions on bridges on the highway, etc). I have 19's with stock sport suspension, I can't imagine how much people with 20's rub.

I have 20'swith a 285/30/20 tire, 10mm spacers to give an aggressive offset, and fenders rolled with OEM sport suspension and never rub on the deepest of dips with passengers in the car. I also have had all the OEM wheels mentioned above with the exception of the 166's and never rubbed with spacers either, and that was without rolling the fenders. It is all about the correct spacer, tire choice and ride height . Here is a current pic of how my tire looks with a 10mm spacer and 20's. I haven't had a problem yet.

Will running 18mm spacer in the rear putting unecessary stress on the bolts? Thinking of adding it to my rear wheels. Currently running 19", 275/35 with high offset 33. Still have around 21mm to the edge of the fender.

keep this in mind as i've learned my lesson with mods. if you think you're gonna buy wheels with proper offsets making spacers unnecessary then save your money. it's funny with modding how the 100-200 dollar mods don't seem to phase us but do a handful of em and you've spent a quick grand. also depending on the size of the spacer and the model you get (i recommend H&R) you'll have to press new studs in which is an additional cost for parts and labor unless you do the work yourself. i love the the look of wheels sitting more flush so i totally get the drive to do this but remember you could be putting 300 hundred bucks or so towards a new set of wheels.
