geting some new rubber.. should i get spacers?

My Ride: 2008 550 sport with all the fixins, 07 yukon with all the fixins.
Will the type of wheel purchased dictate the spacer size. Im getting ready to upgrade to 20' s this week and would like to do it at the same time. I like the look of medic 13 car.

Yes the offset does or you can wait till they are installed and measure to find out what size you will need.

I think I can answer the question at hand here, whether adding spacers and longer bolts increases the stress on the bolts.
Short answer is no. A bolted joint is designed such that the bolts are loaded only in tension, not shear or bending. Also, the parts being joined are much much stiffer than the bolt itself, so as loads are applied to the joint the stresses in the clamped parts vary slightly but the stresses in the bolt are fairly constant. This ensures the bolt does not fail from fatigue loading.
