Here it is in english - just picked up my '06 525 Tuesday night - I have to say that this is the most annoying thing about the car (so far). I have searched this forum and I take it there is no way to bypass this screen!

Join the group of frustrated people! Don't worry, after a few months, it becomes second nature. Oh yah, don't try to turn off the screen either, but it won't do that until you press the ACCEPT button.

Pretty much all cars with a screen have it now. Our Subaru Tribeca has it AND it does not allow you to enter information into the Navi while the car is moving!!! (BMW NA lawyers, you did not hear that - you understand, we want to enter info while driving).

I have a Canadian spec. 2006 525i.? When I started it up today, the Lawyer Screen came up in German! ?? And I thought the Europeans didn't have to put up with this.?

it is a German car afterall.

i used to have that screen - then with a recent software update - it disappeared!
hahahahaha

anyway - my 5 year old son who sits infront most of the time has been trained to:

(1) push down the idrive knob to accept the lawyerise
(2) push the knob to the right to display the "Journey Computer" screen
(3) then to start the CD player

all this when i say "Brendan!" (talk about voice control)
