I'm 32 , i'm just saying what people think. I personally prefer the 5s over the 3s for various reasons one being what you stated above about flexibility of the car. My boss is 38 and has a fiver as well.
You have the same car as your Boss?? Guess he's happy about that...

Also it is just too difficult in the UK to get something different. I want big power from my 535d and everyone I speak to say oh you cant do that or oh that wont work or that is too much power or it will blow up. etc etc.

If they all said that about the cossie in its day it would still be stuck @ 200bhp instead of over 700bhp in some cases

If I blow it up, who cares it is my car and my money

UK tuners only seem interested in easy money. i.e standard remap is easy off the shelf stuff so easy money. Anything more and they would have to work for their money.

My search continues

Mine's is actually newer, he has a e39! I think i'm not getting a bonus this year ....

To paulmc : You can actually get decent tuners that'll do wonders with your car. They're very expensive though. Be prepared to pay 2K+ easy depending what you want to do

Your not wrong Paul, I have spoken to some of the "so called" specialists about fitting a larger intercooler and custom remapping my car (why the hell not when a damned remapp already costs an arm and leg), not one has been interested in taking the job on yet, quoting almost litrally your quote............wastes of space, I know exactly how much work there is involved in flashing the OBD, lazy slack bitches I tell ya.

RS 500 intercooler is quite an easy fit and you can get on for ?250. Airtec make them. Their intercooler won a ford intercooler shoot out beating much more expensive intercoolers.

You need to mod the bit of plastic which holds the temp sensor and the plastic that goes up the sides of the radiator apart from that it will fit straight in. Not worked out how to hold it in place yet. Cant be that difficult though.

Shame your not closer Paul, we could have worked on that sollution together no problem, I can do a bit of metalwork and welding etc, so maybe its a real option !

Silicone hoses must surely be serious upgrade for our cars as well ? nobody ever mentioned it in any of the mags where I have seen the occasional "D" tuning article ?

Sorry for going OT to the OP

No point modifying in the UK. It's already more than fast enough and anything else makes you a suspect for drug dealing! However, I would like more grunt from the pipes. They sound like a wet f...
