Thumbs up

In my case (I drive about 70% city and 30% Highway).
When I fill the gas (91 octane), the cluster shows me I have 690 km or 429 miles from gas to gas. I have it for about 9-10 days.

When the tank is nearly empty (less of 10 km or 6 miles), the total of km/miles calculated (I always reset the odometer after the gas is full) is about 450-490 km or 298-310 miles...

Is this normal for 545i? or I burn too much gas?

545i drivers.... How many km or miles per tank have you?

I do same ratio of highway/city and achieve roughly the same kms on a tank as you.

I haven't been keeping track too much...not sure I really want to know!

I have seen numbers like yours but it depends on how I drive it...my wife has got much better range when I was away.

We're not driving a Pri-ass

I had about the same consuption as you have on my 2004 530i (maybe more like 520-530) but when I did the Gearbox reset I added almost 100 km on the tank. HUGE difference.

Note: I drive it pretty easy in the week and let myself loose in the weekend so I would describe my driving style as normal 85% of the time and hard 15%.

I get about the same in my 2004 530i as well

e60freak what do you mean by gearbox reset? I assume that that is something for autos only?

Yes to reset the adaptive learning feature of the automatic transmission. There are other posts on here about it.

Yea it's called the "25 seconds" trick and it's for the automatic adaptive gearbox like Brit said.

I will see after 2-3 fills what I will be averaging.
