I ordered the G-Tech/Pro SS today and should have by the weekend

I will post times / info asap!

Any ideas on how determine the weight of my car?

Cheers,

Great, but it is not too late to reconsider you choice; you can always send the Pro SS back. The Escort GT2 gives much more data and complete data on each run regardless of the speed reached. You can do some specified runs, for example, to 60 with the Pro SS, but you will not get much data. To get full data, you have to finish the quarter. I have both meters and strongly prefer the GT2. Also, at least 4 of us on the forum have GT2's--grogan, Eurocarfan, Realtyman, and me. Having the same type of meter as the rest might enhance your comparability, but no guarantees on this matter.

I'll try and cancel the order and get the GT2

Thanks Znod,

Thanks Znod,
You are very welcome. You should be able to send the Pro SS back even after you get it.

Done

Was able to cancel the G-Tech and already placed an order for the GT2.

Thanks again,

Car and Driver tested a slew of these meters in May.

They loved the G-Tech Pro RR, but did not test the SS. The Passport GT2 is in there though.

Great, and you are welcome. The GT2 also is a tad less expensive, and, if you want to spend an extra $30, then you can get a rapid-turn-around warranty and guaranteed software updates for life.

Hi Bokke:

I should have mentioned it before. But, I assume that you have seen the "current" g-meter thread in the parts, mods, etc., section. If not, then check it out. Lots of testing by grogan and I has been going on. I bumped the thread to the top

Right, I remember the test. I think the RR is the a-little-too-expensive-for-my purposes Tesla meter. I also have the SS. I'll look at the article again. Thanks for the info. I printed the article because I threw the mag out recently and then wanted it again after I got my meters.

Thanks,

You are very welcome. We are interested in having others buy meters and join us on the thread. Please do so when you start testing. And, check out the GT2 settings we are using. You might want to use similar ones for comparability.
