true my wife doesn't like to visit the fuel station too.
Her Mini does -10 / 15 after running dry according to the computer all the time. Because she knows it is possible it is driven till the last drop.
Guess there will not be any residual in the tank since it is sucked dry all the time.

on my audi the longest i went was ~ 25-30 miles on EMPTY ... on the 530i i've only done ~ 15miles so far ...

My last car was a Jag Xj8...(Also known as a Ford XJ8.... cr4p) I once "stupidly" got down to 25 miles on the computer and the useless piece of cr4p chocked and stopped dead .. therefore the lowest i run my e60 is about 50..(not comparing e60 with xj8.. there is no comparison.. yet).. thanks for the info will stop me sweating if ever i get <25 left on the computer !
