Open your trunk and check the area where your spare tire would be. At the bottom of that well is a white electronics box known as the MPM (Micro Power Module). Check for cable terminal corrosion. If that unit has went, so does various major systems.

Firstly, the CAS is tied to the CAR (vin), key, and DME, unless your indy replaced all those they won't work in a new car. However, he is probably right that does not sound like CAS. It sounds a lot like micro power module (MPM). You said your car was in a hail storm which leads me to believe it was outside in a storm/ heavy rains, if you've never moved the micro power module then in its original location it is very susceptible to water damage.

You mentioned you can't tear it down due to location, this is a quick look and see job. Check the MPM as the other member mentioned ( in trunk under spare wheel). If you can't see any visible damage then try to go back to your indy see if they can swap it just for test sake.

If that is not the issue then don't waste anymore time or money go straight to a dealer to diagnose, depending on what it is you could fix your self.

P.S. that is the correct way to jump the car, shouldn't fry anything. Never jump directly at the battery.

Any other suggestions on what to try? Can't get into the local dealer for a week and a half so I might as well try everything I can on my own.
Doesn't mean its not bad. Try to get it switched just to test, maybe with someone who has a similiar car. I think MPM only goes to 06, so you need a car around that year 04-06. You could also check a junk yard if you don't have anyone you can switch with.

Another thing you can check is the integrated supply module, it has a bunch of fuses and could also cause the issues you are having. It is located in the electronics box under the right air filter under the hood.

jump starting cars is never good for them, especially if you connect the jumper cables while the ignition is on, on the dead car. voltage surges can do some damage. body shop may have jumped it also.

good luck.
