Open your trunk and check the area where your spare tire would be. At the bottom of that well is a white electronics box known as the MPM (Micro Power Module). Check for cable terminal corrosion. If that unit has went, so does various major systems.

TL;DR
- Interior of car won't turn on
- Indy changes battery, claims CAS module friend after being jumped
- 2nd Indy claim CAS if fine after putting it into different 545i
- Completely stumped, looking for help / suggestions on how to figure out the issues and what to replace

You mentioned you can't tear it down due to location, this is a quick look and see job. Check the MPM as the other member mentioned ( in trunk under spare wheel). If you can't see any visible damage then try to go back to your indy see if they can swap it just for test sake.
If that is not the issue then don't waste anymore time or money go straight to a dealer to diagnose, depending on what it is you could fix your self.
P.S. that is the correct way to jump the car, shouldn't fry anything. Never jump directly at the battery.

Guys -
I checked the MPM and didn't see any wire corrosion. I took the wiring harness off and reseated it into the MPM, no change in the car.
Any other suggestions on what to try? Can't get into the local dealer for a week and a half so I might as well try everything I can on my own.

Another thing you can check is the integrated supply module, it has a bunch of fuses and could also cause the issues you are having. It is located in the electronics box under the right air filter under the hood.

jump starting cars is never good for them, especially if you connect the jumper cables while the ignition is on, on the dead car. voltage surges can do some damage. body shop may have jumped it also.
good luck.
good luck.
