Hi all, Ive searched the forum and cant get tht info i require, so im hoping someone can help out. I have the parking light failure on idrive (sidelight out) Anyways i have looked into changing the bulb, checking connections but cant get into it. As it is very tight. Do i have to take the light out? If so ive located the two fixings at the top but cant locate the others. Anyone had this problem and can help be much appreciated. By the way my car has the xenon lights. TIA

I've got exactly the same issue with my car, and I found this link earlier today.

Should be of some use.

You should be able to remove the parking light WITHOUT removing the headlight assembly. It has a large, rectangular kind of handle on the back of it and all you need to do is twist it out. Re-installation is exactly the opposite. I would also STRONGLY suggest wiping the metal contacts before you reinstall the light as in my experience it was the REAL source of the Idrive error message in the first place.
Good Luck!!

Flyingpuck, you are a star! Went to remove the side light and couldn't, so i just disconnected the plugs and reconnected them and the light is back working.
Many Thanks, Dom
