Question Foxwell nt510 Elite BMS Mileage in Km?

I recently purchased a Foxwell nt510 to perform battery registration. I noticed that even though I set the units to Imperial, the dates of registration still show as km instead of mi. I returned an Ancel BM500 because it shows units in km when Imperial is selected as well.

Upon contacting Ancel tech support, I was informed it should be showing miles when Imperial units is selected. Foxwell technical support has yet to reply.

So what's up with these devices not showing miles?🤦‍♂️

I assume even though it's set to miles the modules record as km so that's probably why it only show km. When a error or message is logged it's always in km regardless of what you have set the car to km or miles. Just my thought I could be wrong.

Do you have another car to test that theory

Does your MaxiSys display battery registration only in km?

You need to find someone that has an American car you can hook up to. I'll have to hook mine up to see. I'm so use to seeing km I never paid attention the one time I connected my reader to my 530i.

I honestly don't know anyone with an American car.

I think it may be the device because Ancel did a code update and got the BM500 to show km and mi at the same time in the battery registration section. That was lame IMHO but they said they'd change it to show mi only. I got tired of their tinkering and the device had grammar and also their fixes took forever to release only to require yet another fix.

When I use INPA and ISTA to do battery registration the records always appears in KM.

With all the guys on this forum owning Foxwell's:

- can they get Foxwell to do a automatic conversion?
- can they get Foxwell to do a manual conversion?
- can Foxwell do any conversion?

Plugged up the Autel earlier and I can see both. So it is probably a limitation with the Foxwell

I think you hit the nail on the head.

I really wanted to buy an Autel 906 but I don't do enough auto repair to warrant buying that expensive bad boy.

If you ever get an Autel get the J2534 with it for programming if that is part of what you want to do

Yeah I was planning to get that too.

I was thinking about starting a car diagnostics business but I already have a business and too much on my plate as it is.
