I had that feature (ski bag) on my 1988 325is and it didn't have fold down seats.

The fold down seats are a nice feature, however.

Apologies for reviving an old thread but I am trying to get folding seats instead of standard ones for my 'new' 2008 550i LCI.
From looking at the parts diagram it seems that all I need is a back cushion (sectional) and an armrest with a ski bag:

These are usually sold as one peace on Ebay and prices are very reasonable now.
The thing I can't find is the release mechanizm. all I can see is the base for which you need to use screw driver (#9 in the diagram):

Can someone with folding seats explain how the release works? Pictures would be great. Thanks.
