'05 545 (Black/ Auburn Dakota) has front fog light that looks like it has fallen in. The outside lens is intact, the light comes on, but it the lighting unit, bulb and reflector has fallen off its mounting and just rests within the space.

I cant see how to get in there to remount it. Sure I can go to the dealer, but it should be easy to fix - I just cant see how!

Any advise?

Look (search) in the DIY section for Fog Light (or lamp) replacement. Some detailed write up and pics on how to get to them.

Oh heck, I did it for you: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...mp;hl=Fog+light

I took it to the dealer, hoping for a warrenty repair.

They pulled the unit, showed me where it had been pushed in and broke the mounting points.

Replacement cost $270 installed - 15 minute job and $140 in labor!

I didnt even have them wash it, since I had done that yesterday.

Ouch.......
