I use Meguiars Hot Rims and can get my wheels glowing like they are brand new, but within an hour or so of driving, bam, I get brake dust galore just that fast.

Today I am driving a loaner BMW 3-series and noticed that after driving it for a full day, the rims look brand spanking new with no brake dust whatsoever.

Is there some magic to keep brake dust at bay?

When my car was under warranty the dealer replaced all brakes and rotors about a year ago.

You could always wax your wheels so cleaning them is easier.

Wheelwax that I used last weekend. Four wheels off, waxed them inside and out. It should help cleaning easier from now on.

You could always change the front pads. I used hate the 5min brake dust after a wash myself. I changed to Axxess Deluxe Pads and I am much happier now.

Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads man ---
I had carbon cool, used to clean my wheels every 250 miles since I like them clean. I hope you understand that carbon cool are a lot cleaner than the OEM.
I have the Ceramic's now, I would say that it has very less initial bite but but but I clean my wheels once every 800 miles, now thats a HUGE jump.

I love them for their cleanliness but not highly impressed with their braking power (You just have to push your foot a little harder I guess)

OK. I'll give the wheel wax a try.

If you want a set of pads that produce less dust let me know. A lot of people purchased the Hawk HPS from me. I know your car is still under free maintenance so you probably don't want to do that.
