Flat Tire Monitor reset

When I've had to reset my TPMS it has only required a drive around the block ... about one mile.

In my experience, the TPMS in my 2008 resets much faster than the FTM in my old 545...

Exactly. The 2004 took a few more miles to reset (maybe up to 4 or 5) but I think the 2008 car does it in less than a mile...

Hi !

I had my E61 with Runflat 3 weeks ago.

After a try of the reset, it was stuck on "init" status (with 30/40 Km at one shot sometimes)... maybe a bug ? The problem disappeared one week later when I had my car fully reprogrammed to add MP3 support and it is now very fast to switch to Active.

My E61 is from mid-2005 and was never reprogrammed before 2 weeks ago.

I had the same problem in my 2005 530i, it would never reset. I took it to the dealer,JMK, and it was a software problem.
