Flaking interior

The flaking is not on the flap itself - rather on the are right below, which is attached to the wood.

We sort of had the same problem on our previous E39 - where the black finish around the two main rubber buttons of the navi. became awfully shiny - and that after only 24' km. However the finish never really wore off - and the buttons were constantly used.

The slightly alarming thing about this flaking is that the car has been driven very little and hasn't been exposed to much sunlight - neither have we been moving those flaps too much. Probably the problem would be fixed permanently and hopefully won't appear again after the repair.

gee, we have sunlight 365 days a year in Singapore! Its hot and humid most of the time, got to check to see if there is any other peeling.

Hehe. Get a garage!

I doubt it's happening due to wear from the sun. I live north of the arctic circle, and although we have sun 24/7 during summers, it isn't too strong during the winter
