Can't get you with laser if he was moving the other direction. Lidar does not work that way. The cop would have to be stationary to get an accurate Lidar shot since it measures the time the light takes to return to the gun. If they were moving and put "Lidar" or "Laser radar" on the ticket he would have big legal grounds to contest the ticket. The same would go for POP or POP3, the manufactures of the pop type of radar even state that pop is not accurate enough to hold up in court in the instruction manuals.

On the other hand, the use of plane jane instant on radar , that would be a different story.

Nice to know that you doing 75 was dangerous, and merits a fine, but the cop crossing the grass to get you is nice and safe and therefore commendable practice

I think it was instant on, as my v1 caught Ka range... He must have just switched it on
as he saw me... I had enough time to hide my v1 though...
The guy was cool, knew the car right away. I'm not blaming him.
I think he caught my speed, got into it right away and thanks to my innocent face
and a clean record got nice and decided to make it a bit easier to me.
It sucks as I feel much safer using v1 at night as they leave their things on
all the time. Being caught into this instant on thingy sucks as there is no defense.
