The LL04 matter I need the check, thanks for the good advice again.

Also, thanks to your good thinking, I will buy my next non RF summer tyres in the size 225/45 18",
the RF 245's are just too wide and harch for our crappy roads.
That is if I don't get me a new car next spring...

In Finland we only get the 2 year Euro warranty and I have not got any service nor garantee packages.
I do not need them, since I drive quite little and change cars pretty often.
Honestly, for the summer I'd keep the size to 245/40/18 , just in non runflat. They will be much more comfortable already.
I only use the 225/45/18 on my winter wheel/tyre combination for the better ability to cut through slush and water.

Thanks for the skoop on the advertising tie-in with BMW and Castrol.

I've always been partial to Molil oils - esp. Mobil 1. Mobil recomends Mobil 1 0W40 for my N52 motor. They do not have an Mobil 1 Extended Performance with a GF-4 rating in that weight nor 0W30.

However, I guess that I will be using Castrol for a long as BMW pays for the oil change.

Did check with local service center about the oil.

Now they recommend Shell Helix Ultra AP 5W-30!?

They also refer to more information from www.bmwservice.de

Need to check things out...

Shell Helix Ultra AP 5w-30 is definitely BMW Longlife 04 approved. No worries there, ricracing.

Thanks Olli for the info.

But now its 5W-30 not 0W-30

Was I bit surprised to get a link from my local dealer to a payment site (bmwservice.de),
but on the other hand, it's great that there is a site like that.
