did you say that your rear inserts are painted to your car's color? Is this something extra you requested? Mine inserts are just plain un-painted black, and so are everyone's in this board. Unless they replace them with painted or euro-reflector ones.

I missed reading this earlier thread because I was EDing my car. I have MY05 too, but unpainted inserts. I toured the Dingolfing factory on 11/9/04 and though I saw hundreds of E60 being assembled, the cars bound to U.S. still have black inserts. I would of begged for a pair of jet black inserts if I knew they were available.

I here ya. Sounds like only some of the recent cars have come with them. Try asking your dealer or go to the lot and see if the 05's there are now coming with them. Maybe they can order some for you, if you haven't already replaced the inserts w/ the reflectors. Can't remember your specs.
