Finally got it! 2005 545i
I have been lurking here, waiting for my 2005 545i to arrive and trying to selling my 1999 528i. Well on November 13 the 545i arrived at the dealer. In short this is so much more car than the E39 528i. I had the E39 for 5 years and it was a very good car. But the E60, I absolutely love the design! This car looks great from every angle. I drive up two extra levels in my parking garage to park in a single spot!
Here is the story.
Ordered on October 4 with an open build slot, $2,000 over invoice
Loaded on the ship October 18
Delivered to the dealer November 13
Picked up from dealer with 4 miles on it November 15
Installed Valentine with instructions from E60.net
Washed and waxed (2 coats) November 17
Vitals
2005 BMW 545i
Titanium silver
Sports package
Black leather
Anthracite trim
I like it simple
Extras
Yes, it has Bluetooth. No, it will not hold a pairing with my Blackberry 7290
PDC is standard on MY 05
On the rear bumper the inserts are painted to match the vehicle
The place on the rear console under the air vents has the wood trim on it.
Now I am just waiting on 1200 mile so I can open it up.

ken o,
What transmission did you get? Since you like it simple, I would guess the 6-speed, but if you like it easy, you may have picked up the automatic. Clue us in, and congrats on your new ride!

[/quote]Hey Ken O, congrats on the wheels! Good to have a fellow New Orleanian here in the forum. I see like me, you kept it simple and passed on the HUD and NAV etc. I haven't seen too many Titanium Silvers around town, mostly black or Silver Gray like mine. If you hear a horn honking at you, and its a Silver Gray 545, that'll be me.
