Yeah my wife wasn't so pleased when I ordered the 166s a couple of months after I bought my 550... BUT I just finished putting her completely through school (no student loans), bought and paid for her conversion van LOADED with a plasma tv, DVD, leather interior, bling interior lighting etc among other goodies so I was not expecting too much complaining.

My advice to you personally though, is run. Run FAR away from her. If she is this volitile over such trivial things in life as money, your marraige will not last long. Sad but true. Marraige and love are much deeper than money.

Its not like you blew $20,000 on a night in Vegas. You bought wheels for your car which you enjoy.

The writings on the wall, you should find a woman who can understand your passions and share similar qualities with before its too late.

Just my 2 cents, dont take it personally.

Good luck.

Oh, and post pics etc.

EDITED FOR PICS
+1. exactly what i was thinking but in the end, its up to you.

Well it was worth a try. After all, the beautiful RPI exhausr is going to need a good home in 2 months when you've turned in your 550. What a sad day that will be.....

I did not think they made conversion vans anymore. Was the van for her, or you. She really asked for a Plasma TV in a van.... why??

Epic thread!

Most girls won't understand our obsession with cars, much like we don't understand their obsessions with bags and shoes (cmon, really?! A "stupid" leather bag costs as much as my DPE's?!). Case closed.

It's good that she's saving minded but there's a point where it becomes an obsession over the fact that you really actually need to save. I know wealthy people/families who live like they're poor and for what, to be able to look at their bank account online and smile? Given a lot of times this wealth is in equity but still. Why live if you can't enjoy it within your means? I hate it when the guy in line in front of me at a local eatery is arguing over 50 cents, then I see him leave in his new Mercedes SL550.

Yeah they do... although you have to look around for them. Get out your wallet though...they can be about as expensive as a loaded 335xi. She didn't actually ask for the tv... it came with it. I was in love with the super huge captains chairs and the one push button bed in the back.
