My Ride: 2006 550i Black Saphire/Black Dakota Leather- Loaded- M5 Appearance Package, Sport Package, Pro logic 7 Premium Sound, Navigation, Cold Weather Package, Comfort Package, Heads-up Display, park Distance Control, Bluetooth, Active Steering, Electric Rear Sunshade, Rear Folding Seats, Front/Rear Heated Seats, Xenon lights, Satelite Radio- Extended Maintenance, CPO (Considering Tire/Wheel Insurance)
Anniversary...Go to fine restaurant...valet only...no other choices to park ANYWHERE...PACKED RESTAURANT! I knew better, but had ZERO choice at that moment...I figured, they all know that I have a sweet car...1 week later (today), the light hits my right rear passenger door in just such a way and BAM there is my first door ding on a mint 2006 550i...Black of course! Fers at Valet!!! NO RESPECT!!!! Maybe this is the 3rd time EVER valeted...Now the last!

You live in a big city. My wife's from NY and I always tell her, if we ever lived back there, I would be driving a Kia. That way I wouldn't worry about car dings, car being broken into, or worse, the car being stolen.
Take a cab next time or take your beater car. I hate dents my self - but fortunately, my wife knows someone who work at their bank's leasing department who contracts a local PDR. I only pay $30 per dent.

That sucks man! I totally hate dings too. I will either not go or take another car to a place where I know I need to valet. The pain and suffering of seeing a ding will last longer than the enjoyment I get from going to that "nice" restaurant. So I usually end up taking another car.

i can't deal with valet in RI... 1149 in seekonk ma and the 1149 Warwick RI. If there is no parking I simply wont go. They split the parking lot into two. One part is free parking the other larger half is valet. Will not do it. I have left there twice and I only go back because we are two tired to go elsewhere. BUT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL I LET THEM DRIVE MY CAR.
