I haven't had any major issues but I hate the unpredicatbility of the car. Every Day the car seems to feel different.

Couldn't agree more. It's a love-hate relationship. The car somehow seems to drive differently every day...even the rattles and sqeaks come and go. None of my other cars seem to have these issues.

I took it to the dealer and just got my car back after 4 days at the dealer. It drives like a totally different car now.

Before I had terrible throttle lag, and unpredictable response to throttle input (anywhere from slowing down to high engine rpm with no real thrust from the transmission).

The new software they programmed seems to have done the trick.

But alas now my bluetooth phone will not work.

Did they forget to program the bluetooth module? Or that you may need to re-pair the phone as the previous parameters were over-written?

My phone will not pair, the bluetooth module is present and I get the screen to activate phone. But After deleting the previous pairing on my phone I can't get it to pair again.

I love mine wouldn?t trade it for the world (well maybe for a 550 or an M5), but at the same time it has been far from problem-free, but for some reason it doesn?t really bother me (proably because I have never been stranded)?something goes wrong, it gets fixed and I?m on my way. So far, in the first 8k miles I?ve dealt with:

? Bad paint / replaced car
? Creaking sunroof-clunk while closing / Realigned sunroof
? Bad steering / replaced steering rack
? Bad gas tank / replaced full tank
? Loose dash cluster / fixed
? Loose drivers seat / fixed
? Stuck rear side window / replaced regulator
? Clunking Transmission / Upgraded Software (three times)
? Creaking door seals / scheduled to be replaced
? Whistling Windshield / trying to get it fixed
? Squeaking while turning / replaced ABS sensors (twice)
? Brake warning at 5k/ new rear rotors, pads etc

I would have gotten rid of the car at this point.

You certainly hold the Guiniess world record for the most patience ever towards an inanimate object.

Now if only you have had experience with the Japanese Cars. Have 70,000 miles on a Toyota No problems, 45,000 on a Honda no problems, 210,000 on a Camry still everything in the car including the digital clock works, 140,000 miles on the 4Runner and feels like new.

Which is why I wanted to get rid of this car but forgive me fellow members for I have sinned. I actually test drove the competition, from Acura, Infiniti, Mercedes and wanted to trade in my 545i.

Unfortunately there are few cars you can trade in a $68,000 car for.

But with the new software I am back in love with my 05, 545 sport.

Alls good for now

Now if only I can get the bluetooth to work again.
