That really sux! Is that cost for the entire mirror assy? I once had a Grand Prix and the passenger mirror actually was broken, but I had to purchase the entire assy. that was unpainted. I then just took off the mirror and parts that I needed.
Trust me they won't risk their live like that they definitely targeted your ride once they saw it... I used to leave near Flushing as well and I've been to that IHOPE you're talking about almost a decade ago. One thing people have to understand Flushing nowadays is too crowded and crowds bring a lot of thieves. Always be extra careful where u park in Flushing, Corona, Main st and more...
Sorry to hear that for real.
Sorry to hear that for real.
Im sorry to hear that man the same thing happened to me a few months back while I was living in the Bronx and my mirrors where folded in at the time, so approaching the front of my car I already knew something was fishy lol. They ripped the auto dim wire on pass. side but I ended up just replacing the glasses with oem, it cost me $65 for the set somewhere in huntspoint.
I have this habit, every time I park, I fold the mirrors in, every single time. Do hope this would help prevent getting stolen or broken by those retarded people on street.

Same here. Not to mention there are a lot of people who park like crap and hit your mirrors when walking by.
In my opinion it wasn't a random act of violence. I'll bet it was one of two situations: (1) A disrespectful BMW owner needing to replace broken mirrors or (2) a Craigs-lister building inventory of BMW parts for sale.
