Ok, ok. I lay down my arms. I concur that it was too sarcastic. But, it sort of made me giggle.
And, speaking of annoying things: Should you be able to start a thread with the word FUCKING, in caps?

Back to the original topic for a second....from a stop I think it's possible for a G35 to edge out a 545 up to a 100 or so, but at this point, I'm fairly sure that the 545 would start gaining and easily pass the G35.
I too wish for more details as some would consider a 1/2 car length a "kill," while others would call it a close race. A lot of variables come into play such as whether this was from a stop or a roll, wrong gear, the G getting a jump, traction issues, DSC kicking along with a list of other things. That "stock" g35 could very well be modded, you never know.
Someone mentioned that the G35 will be faster than the a 350z, but this is not the case. Not sure about the sedans, but the G35 coupes are now rated at 300bhp, the same as the 350z, but are a bit heavier along with having a more restrictive intake. One of the common mods for g35 owners do is swapping in the intake tube from the 350z. Also, a good driver should have no trouble besting those magazine times.
I have a 545 and a 350z both with a 6 speed manual transmission. On the highway, third gear on, the 545 surely feels like the faster car. From a stop to 90 or so, I think the 545 feels faster due to it's greater torque, but I think a race would be somewhat close. A driver's race for sure. The 350 with its short throws, happy revving engine and limited slip is much easier to launch in my opinion. I'm not big into racing, but just the other week I raced my buddy with in my stock 350z with his 350z with just an intake. You'd think the race would be even, but from a 10mph, 1st gear roll, he got the jump on me twice, and I was not able to catch up. On the highway though with a 3rd-4th gear pull, I eventually got about a length on him probably due to my forged rims and his heavy sound system. Just goes to show anything can happen in a race.
Do people actually try to race you guys in your e60s? Maybe it's different if you guys have an exhaust and a msport kit, but in completely stock form, no one ever bothers me.

There are a lot of times/speeds on dragtimes.com, but I can't tell for sure what's stock and not--particularly the 350Z's.

I think I noted this before but I should point out again that the G35 Automatic is 280hp and the manual is 298hp. I'm curious which one Guessvvhoo was racing...
Imagine the 545 slower than a 280hp G35 sedan...
Prior to this, I thought the better matched contender would be the new M45.
