My Ride: E60

I've lost track of how the engines are now. Was there a change to certain models in 2005? How about 2006? I have a 530i (MY06) on order and wonder how the engines have been updated since the '04 models.

My Ride: 545i Mystic Blue/Black Leather Type 124 Wheels

In March 2005 the 6 Cylinder engine changed to Valvetronic

now you get

525i 160Kw ( 215HP )
530i 190Kw ( 255HP )

The 530i you'll recieve will be a authentic MY 2006 (start/stop buttom, DSC+ etc.) and it will have the engine that was intruduced in March this year. This engines BMW name is N52B30.

The real MY's starts in Europe (BMW E60 factory) in September!

Yep.
And now BMW NA is in trouble. Because of their marketing BS they now have MY06's with different standards.

Again... MY changeover is ALLWAYS the factory one, which is September!
